The Canoe Place Inn, a historic hotel and event venue in Hampton Bays, New York, is hosting a jazz music performance featuring actor and pianist Jeff Goldblum leading his ensemble The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. The show is presented in collaboration with the music promotion companies Murmrr and Le Poisson Rouge (LPR).

In addition to his celebrated acting career in films like The Big Chill, Jurassic Park, and Independence Day, Goldblum is an accomplished jazz pianist. He began playing piano as a child growing up in West Homestead, Pennsylvania before pursuing acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City.

Alongside his acting work, Goldblum has maintained his musical interests for decades. In the 1990s, he formed The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, named after a family friend, with musician John Mastro. The band has performed regularly in Los Angeles and had a residency at the Carlyle Hotel in New York.

In 2018, Goldblum released his debut album The Capitol Studio Sessions with The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra on Decca Records. It featured guest vocalists like Haley Reinhart and Sarah Silverman. A follow-up album I Shouldn't Be Telling You This arrived in 2019 with contributions from Fiona Apple and Sharon Van Etten among others.

The performance continues Goldblum's pursuit of his musical passions, allowing audiences to experience his sophisticated jazz piano stylings in an intimate Hamptons setting at the Canoe Place Inn venue.
