The Parrish Art Museum in the Hamptons region of Long Island, New York is hosting a major art exhibition in the Hamptons titled "KAWS: Time Off" devoted to the contemporary artist KAWS. This solo exhibition marks the first comprehensive survey of KAWS' work presented on the East End of Long Island.
The art exhibition in the Hamptons features a wide array of KAWS' iconic sculptural works and paintings. It is curated by Mónica Ramírez-Montagut, the Executive Director of the Parrish Art Museum, with support from Assistant Curator Brianna L. Hernández.
Financial support for "KAWS: Time Off" is provided by the Bank of America, Dior, the Skarstedt gallery in New York City, and collectors Lisa and Mitchell Green among others. Additional funding comes from the New York State Council on the Arts, the Southampton and Tuckahoe school districts, and Suffolk County.
KAWS is a Brooklyn-based artist renowned for his unique graphic style blending popular culture with fine art across mediums like painting, sculpture, and product design. His iconic character-based works reimagine pop art through a contemporary lens, commenting on themes of consumerism, childhood wonderment, and the human condition.
